I am delighted to have started working with Exam Tutors Plus, and today we delivered our first tour together: “The Literacy and the Arts Harry Potter Tour”.

Exam Tutors Plus (part of the Exam Papers Plus family) provide tutoring for 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+, 11+ and 13+ entrance exam preparation.

The tour was aimed at 6-8 year olds, introducing them to the world of Harry Potter in London, exploring some of London’s beautiful architecture and fascinating museums and helping improve their literacy skills, all in one fun-packed tour!  I told the group a little about each Harry Potter location visited and then explained how they were used in the books and films.  Each location had fun themed learning activities based around the books including comprehension, exploring word associations, understanding characters, creative writing and problem solving.

I also got to pretend to be Professor McGonagall (Maggie Smith)

Hopefully this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship…
